Sportsplex 2.12.12 Game Review:

OUTSTANDING!!!

To beat a team that good, you have to be that much better.. and you were. It is amazing to watch the game played at this level and we could see even when we were up 3-1 if we would have let our guard down, we could have easily lost that game. They played some very smart soccer, but we played smarter and did not back down and kept pushing to a final score of 4-2.

It was a tremendous team effort and proved if we start out with strong determination from the get-go, we will greatly increase our odds of success. A great pre-game speech from Coach Re and a simple "Let's win this game" from Zach M., really hit the spot.

Why were we ultimately better? The reason is, we anticipated the play and took action much more effectively than Lockport. They had great skill, but what they underestimated was our ability to possess the ball and make something out of our plays. That's what's really setting us apart and ultimately making us a better team, plus we are individually becoming much more creative.

Did anyone watching notice how much the ball went from one side of the field to the other and back. Rarely did the ball just go down the right or the left of the field. We were constantly searching for a path through and have gone way beyond just trying to hold onto the ball. You are all gaining confidence and must continue to work hard at improving your individual skills, because as a team you are proving to be dynamite.

Keep up the Great Performance!

All the best, Coach Gary / Coach Brian
